Strategy informs how you sell. Selling generates data. Data informs strategy. Iterate or decline.
Your sales and marketing effort, to truly be effective for the long-term, needs to have a coherent, clear, yet flexible strategy, and one that is informed by quality data and analytics.
If you have a website and are using social media, your company is getting tons of data. Data is a potential resource, one that can be wasted and ignored, or one that can be used. Therein lies the rub – what is good data? Which information is more valuable? Should I be going for more traffic? More clicks? A lower website bounce-rate? Should I be advertising on FaceBook, Instagram, or LinkedIn? If one gives me more clicks, and the other a higher conversion rate, how do I measure the difference?
Unfortunately, a lot of bot-companies have thrown around the words “data analytics” to sell monthly subscriptions that promise you likes and follows. But what are likes and follows that don’t generate what truly matters: Conversions!
Similarly, other companies have offered to “send you a monthly google analytics report” for some monthly fee – did you know that you can get this from Google for free? – but what they also don’t tell you is what matters – how do you read the information! Pages of numbers without context and experience in reading the numbers tells you nothing.
Our approach is simple:
- Strategy informs your sales and marketing activities
- Sales and marketing activities create quality data
- Quality data informs strategy
Together, we will iterate this process to learn how we can more effectively sell your products and services.
It’s impossible to build a quality business website or marketing plan without this. Data analytics and strategic planning is included in everything we do.
But here’s the reality. Everything you do generates data, and this information, if understood and gathered effectively, can help grow your company.
Traffic on your website is data. Customers in your store is data. The number of transactions you make from 9am – 10am versus 3pm – 4pm is data. Employee turnover and retention is data. The number of new homes being constructed in a two mile radius of your store is data.
This can all help you make decisions, serve your customers, bring stability, and grow your business the right way.
So this is our theory – data and strategy serve each other. When they are alone, they are incomplete or unstable.
There are billions of bits of data to collect – what should you collect? What is more important than the rest?
The answer to this question is your strategy.
Next, your strategy will work in some ways, and not work in other ways. How do you know what parts of your strategy to keep, change, or remove?
The answer to this question is your data.

Working with Evan has been an experience like no other! Not only has he assisted in building our brand and back end processes but he has been available at a minutes notice to accommodate our needs as a business. Thank you Evan!
I am very happy with everything Evan has done for my company. He has built my website and has done an amazing job. He is also very good in advising what will be the next steps to bring your company to the next level. I would definitely advise you to start working with him.
Working with Evan was easy and simple, which is what I needed. He was professional and efficient, taking the website quickly from conception to completion, checking with me along the way. The website is amazing, much better than anything I could have attempted on my own.
Evan is foremost, an achiever. His ability to strategize, set a direction, and motivate others is not something you see every day, or in every job. I have learned more from him about leadership and integrity than I have from most managers that I have worked under.
It is a pleasure working with Evan. He has constructed a website for me and has dedicated time to review and renew the website to accommodate new developments. Also, he naturally has a disposition towards recognizing and serving your best interests with honesty and clarity.
